I was lutheran then baptist. Strayed from GOD and now GOD has called me back to HIM. he brought me to the cathedral of the most sacred heart of JESUS knoxville,tn. I was confirmed last year! I am also a Protestant but man….I have always felt a strong pull towards Catholicism. It was basically the first church and sometime I feel like it’s the only one that retains a lot of important history that’s often forgotten in Protestant churches. I also like that people hold themselves accountable and progressing in their face.

As a former Protestant, I can tell you this is a good priest. He obviously is trying his best to communicate things that are incredibly deep to you. I can tell you there is so much more. This barely scratches the surface. If you read the fathers of the church, the early Christians, you'll find the roots of much of this. Catholicism is like the biggest ocean, you'll never exhaust it. You've only drank a couple drops.
