as a pro artist theres two types of commissioners. The 5000$ commissioner that takes ur second sketch and is happy with it and is super respectful and chill and the 50$ commissioner who tries to controll every aspect and never fails to let you know that youre their peasent paintpig and should be grateful for their goofy ass 50 bucks

This is goofy, but also infuriating. I work as a musician and many of my friends are artists, and this kind of shot happens ALL THE TIME in the art world. People don’t want to pay you what your worth and then try and assassinate your character when you turn them down.

One thing a number of fellow artists I've talked to about the subject of AI art has said is "The kind of clients who would rather go to an AI than pay an artist for their work are probably the kind of clients I would end up regretting working with." This guy is definitely an example of that.

As an artist, the part that ticks me off the most is; no matter how much a client is willing to pay, the artist has every right do decline the commission. This sense of entitlement when people beg for art is so pathetic. Remember to pay your artists well and be respectful <3

This is why I stopped doing art for the public. In my area minimum wage is over 15 an hour, and no one I've met is willing to pay me that wage for art. Now I just do it for my own hobbies and close friends and couldn't be happier.
