  • We felt the same way in New York for years. It never stopped people from moving here. This is a big beautiful world we live in. Lets just enjoy life and everything that comes with it. None of us own the States we live in so we might as well welcome everyone. And its clear from the responses from the people that they are kind and welcoming.😊
  • My family and I left the great State of Texas to move to Florida! The experience has been great! The beauty of the state never gets old! If you are considering a move, I would highly recommend working with Ken and his team!

I didn’t see you interview a single Floridian…being born and raised in Winter Haven, Fl. I’ve seen the population explode and nature destroyed, clogged highways, stupid neighborhoods for snowbirds that only get used half the year, we don’t like to share because transplants don’t appreciate what makes Florida unique…swamps drained, orange grooves no longer standing….it sucks just to make more houses for more transplants…..have you seen what people do to Panama City, Destin, or Daytona Beach during spring break….perfect example of why there’s resentment toward people who don’t live here…trash it, rinse, repeat……there’s a love for the state if you’re from here that one can’t explain, transplants will never understand that…you’re interviews seem one sided also….next time maybe get some Floridians over 50 like myself who’ve seen all the changes…bet you don’t get the same answers….

Because of the horrific traffic I moved close to work, it made all the difference. I love living here
  • People who think Florida's traffic is bad are delirious it takes me 35 min to go 4.7 miles in Sacramento California.
  • Winter park strip on a friday or saturday night is all tourist and locals that do not live in the area. Sidewalks are very busy those days.
  • The traffic sucks but everything else is awesome. Florida is the best state in the country by far.

We moved here from West Virginia in 2012. Traffic is getting worse every year but I very seldom complain because I know that we are part of the problem.
  • When they lady mentioned Haines City, I cringed. I know all about the growth there. It has blown up in the last few years and continues to boom. Love our area still though. Love you Ken! Been watching since just about Day 1! Glad to see you still going strong. We are about to hit 4K subs later this month. Need Sunrail to expand to Polk County ASAP but no further studies needed. Saying 2035 target date. I will be retired then! Or at least very close!

lol tell em Ken…like I told you before I moved away about 8-9 years ago after living there my whole life(I’m 42). My mom still lives in Longwood and she says i4 is ridiculous, I don’t even want to know because it was bad when I left. When I worked for the magic from 04-13 I lived in the Solaire and downtown traffic was so bad then I can’t imagine what it’s like now. You da man KP, you know I love your channel. You keep me connected to my roots! Mad respect for waking up to strangers and interviewing them, it’s not easy.

I’m torn on this as someone born and raised in FL. The more demand for housing increases our equity but then on the flip side I’m seeing some friends and family unable to find affordable housing. As the population increases, more businesses move in which increases jobs and fun things to do. That also increases the traffic and crowds schools as it’s growing faster than the infrastructure can keep up. Bottom line is that it depends on the lifestyle you want and what you can afford. If you want a rural, lower cost of living area you’ll have to move further inland or out of State. Nothing stays the same forever and change comes with growing pains.

It’s me! I’m Laura, the girl her friends forced to get into this interview. 🎉
  • @jay_roberts
Incredibly interesting video! Love this concept of talking to locals.
  • @shameer685
Gotta admit, everyone seems welcoming and generally happy.
  • Come on down after you check in with Ken. He will help you find a place you’ll love.
  • Thank you for this video. I have been hearing nothing but negative comments about Florida and it’s my dream to live there. Pretty discouraging
  • The lady from Huntersville, just north of Charlotte, is absolutely right. I'm from Cornelius, which is the next town up, and you have to wait through a couple of light cycles just to get through some intersections up here, and the interstate is nearly stopped during rush hour. The up and coming areas around Orlando just need to plan their infrastructure proactively and then it shouldn't be a huge issue when more people move down.
  • I enjoyed your take on the subject. Loved all the interactions with the residents of the three areas outlined. I live in Miami, Florida. One kid is at UCF and the other looks to be going to FIU, in Miami. My wife and I always ponder the move to Central Florida. It’s a dream of mine. Hope to meet with you in the near future. I would love Ken to be our Realtor 😊
