One of the main selling points of the Assassin's Creed franchise is the vast number of historical locations players can visit. The American Revolution, Victorian England, the Golden Age of Piracy; with literally everything that has ever happened to choose from, the possibilities for the future of Assassin’s Creed are endless, but if we had our way, then we’d be going to these times and places first. Here are 10 Historical Settings We’d Like To Visit In Assassin’s Creed!

I think a game set during WWII with you playing as a saboteur/assassin would be so dope. Also, one set during the Spanish inquisition with you going between southern Spain and Northern Africa would be cool.
  • @brentmanhart1026
I always wanted to see one set in 1920s Detroit. Henry Ford is canonically a Templar and climbing art deco skyscrapers would be incredible.
  • @katiekins17
Ancient Persia. I know there was stuff in Odyssey but I would LOVE to see something more vast considering it was an empire.
  • @FatherTime89
I'd love to see an Assassin's Creed game set in 1920's Chicago at the height of prohibtion. Parkoring around china, getting into speakeasies, listening to jazz, dealing with bootleggers and cops, maybe even meeting Al Capone. There's a lot you could do with that setting.
  • & here are 5 more: Mexican Revolution (1910-1920) WWII era Germany (1939-1945) Cuban Revolution (1953-1959) Vietnam War (1955-1975) Bosnian War (1992-1995)

AC Hexe is supposed to take play in the Holy Roman Empire during the witch trials of the 15th and 16th centuries.

I love that they actually designed assassins for the intro on unitys helix menu that I actually wanted to enter but it’s just design! Like the prohibition era assassin

My favorite franchise in gaming, but i don't wanna see a modern day setting, it's historical places that attracted me to this amazing series .
  • A samurai assassin wouldn't work....even Ghost of Tsushima showed as much as the protagonist is often admonished for using stealth tactics. Stealth assassinations largely go against their code of honor. Now a NINJA assassin, that would actually make sense & is both what many of us have been wanting for ages and what we're actually getting. also, as far as a game in China goes....I'd love to see an assassin during the Three Kingdoms era. Dynasty Warriors has shown us a very interesting time period full of interesting & cool historical figures...I'd love to see how Assassin's Creed handles those same figures. Guan Yu, Cao Cao, Zhu Rong, Sun Shang Xiang...hell, have Lu Bu as some kind of superboss seeing as he's legendary in general & insanely hard to beat in every musou game he appears in and for Russia...imagine playing an assassin tasked with eliminating the Romanoffs
  • I would love an Assassin's Creed game where you play as an Aztec fighting the Spanish conquistadors and also try to stop Aztec sacrifices. An AC game during the Prohibition era would also be nice.

I absolutely want an Assassin's Creed in rhe Salem Witch trials since i already got one during the Ripper murders
  • You forgot to mention the Wild West. The Texas Revolution and the battle of the Alamo would be a great setting. You could also have the Mexican American War and the American Civil War included as well. All wars used mostly one shot guns so melee combat was not impractical in a war like this. I would like to see a Gatling Gun used at some point. I think Syndicate did that.

I always wanted a world war 2 trench war game where you were a double agent taking out templars on both sides. Stealthing your way through no mans land and having tight trench combat with cinematic moments of running from bombs and gun fire. A lot of side mission ideas aswell I think. Also, hitler would definitely be hunting pieces of eden and could definitely be seen as a crazed templar type. I also think it’d be awesome to delve more into some of the assassins mentioned in the altair armour room in ac 2.
  • There's a few other time periods that needs to have AC game. 1. War of the Roses (1455–1487) in England. It happens at the same time as AC 2 yet there are a lot stuff going on. 2. Spanish Inquisition period (1478–1834). 3. Northern Europe wars and Empires + Russia before 1700's 4. Cold War 1948-1991, whole World.
  • Ancient Thailand. The ongbak movies with Tony Jaa as inspiration.
  • @Ivotas
If it's historical settings we're talking about a pre-WWII Germany would be nice. Like actually witnessing the downfall of the country as it gradually happened would be much more interesting then just setting another plot during the actual war period itself. Not saying that it can't go all the way up to and through the war, but definitely have start a decade before it started.
  • @anton8064
An Inca-Spain-Morocco during the time of Conquistadors is the only one I would be hyped for.
  • @Dorgaroth.
I thought about the American civil war.
  • You know it'll be nice to set a assasins creed game in india there's lots of history there
