I've known this song for 8 years. Two years ago my best friend since high school became my girlfriend and we had the most amazing year together. But now we broke up. I just can't stop crying listening to this song again.

I met my bestfriend in 2005 - we were just kids. She was living overseas and I was living in Australia. I didn’t see her again until 2014 - and we only had 3 days to catch up with each other. I knew I loved her then and would spend the next two years chasing her, watching her get hurt by other guys who only wanted to use her, watched her cry, get angry - I was just a fly on the wall. I remember asking her so many times to be my girlfriend but she kept saying no until.... 2016 - April, just after my birthday. I asked her again and she said yes! I flew overseas to see her and we spent and cherished every second of the 30 days we had together. Fast forward to now - we’re married, we’ve got plans for the future, planning kids, a house and she’s moving countries so that we can finally live together. Never give up on love if you feel it in your heart. If it’s meant to be, it will be. No matter the distance, if love is true, no matter the time, if love is true, love will always find a way. Update July 2022 - we are living together in Australia now. We have a house together. Have a nice garden. Might even adopt a dog to expand our family. Future plans are underway. And yes, still madly in love. She is meant for me… and I am meant for her 🥰 Edit - people can be amazing, you are all beautiful.
