A Super Smash Brothers Melee tournament was held at the SUNY New Paltz Lecture Center on April 12, 2015 as part of the "Conquest 2015" event line-up. Conquest is a convention held every year which is run by the "Gaming Society" club of SUNY New Paltz. This 2015 event was meant to raise money for the charity "Family of New Paltz" by holding panels for events, shopping, free food and raffled prizes. The game "Super Smash Brothers Melee" was part of the tournament line-up and consisted of 10 of the best players in SUNY New Paltz University. Here is the Grand Finals of the event.
