I'm 72. Years ago, I told my wife, "when I'm on my deathbed and near the end, put Stairway to Heaven on my headphones and let me go". I meant it then and I mean it today.

My father always said, "No talking when Zeppelin is playing".
  • Those who talk about Page's guitar and solo are right, they are incredible. But imagine this song without Plant's voice! Impossible! The voice creates the mystique, it is unique

We are just lucky that this footage exists.

I am 66 years old and I have advanced lung cancer, I don’t have much longer to go. I never had the chance to see them live but they were the music of my formative years. I’m still an old hippie and will die as such. I find a great deal of comfort watching The Song Remains The Same, a reminder of a more gentle and peaceful time, full of hope that human beings never allowed to happen. I’ll be off to my own Bron-Y-Yur soon. 🤝🤝

Jimmy Page was on another level. That solo was insane.
  • 1970s auto tune: Wearing pants so tight your squeezed balls enhance your voice to angelic level. The good old times.

Who'll be listenin' to this masterpiece in comin' years or more????
  • @user-ms2qf1eh4o
Being a hippie from the 70's I still really love this and could watch it over and over. We didn't have a cell phone when we went out, if we needed to make a call we had to find a phone booth and get a dime from someone. You really didn't realize it at the time but we grew up in a unique time. We had the best bands and the best music.

The people at this concert were the luckiest in the world.
  • I was 16 and sitting with a friend who was playing this on his guitar when he said, "I want this song played at my funeral". A month later he died using inhalants. I couldn't listen to this song there after. I'm 63 now and just stumbled across this on You Tube. I've watched it 6 times in a row now. I'm crying, for several reasons, I can't explain it. I'm just glad I found it and am okay with leaving the ON SWITCH on.
  • Back in July 1980 my friend Barry said he wants this song played at his funeral. August 12th we were in a bad car accident... be died at only 17 yrs old. I couldn't play this at his funeral, that bothers me still. So Barry . . . . This is for you man.. Sorry its 44 years late, Rest in Peace

This song is the soundtrack of my life and my fathers life. If it wasnt for my old man i would never have had such a deep respect and connection to Led Zeppelin. Or any other band for that matter. As overplayed as it is, it is, undeniably, a masterpiece. My father was one of the greats, i know that without a doubt and everytime i hear this I get lost thinking about how much i miss him, it took a piece of me when he died. I hope one day i see him again. I had Stairway To Heaven played at his celebration of life. Even though he never wanted a funeral or anything depressing, that would be impossible. We were, and are— all so saddened that hes not with us anymore, however we do remember all of the great memories first... the first and only tattoo that he had was on his left forearm and it was Jimmy's ZoSo sigil. As soon as he died i immediately got the same tattoo on my left arm. Love you dad. R.I.P B.D.R 1967 - 2019
