They both great games, and I think there is room for both in VR. With population one being more like Fortnite and showdown more like a call to duty. Also the age of players on population are way younger, and tend to annoy the shit out of me, or I loose my squad cause there mommy calls dinner time. Where contractors are definitely more of a older crowd.

No. Apples vs oranges. Two different types of mechanics and play styles. Also, BB does lots of playtests to get feedback. They have a large player base (100k+) and have to make decisions that not only impact the core OG players but also the newer less skilled players. Can't be easy for them. But they do work hard.

Pop1 won't be killed by Contractors because they have very different gameplay. However, the player population count will be heavily reduced for Pop 1. People like myself will stop playing Pop1 now that there is an alternative with gameplay that I like more. I hate the building in Pop1. I never use the mechanic, and its annoying when other people use it. While i like climbing, I really don't like climb peeking as a shooting mechanic. These 2 elements being unavailable in Contractors makes it completely replace Pop1 for me. But other people like those things so they may still play Pop1.

You are right and you made great points. Pop One will always be my favorite and I will always play it. Easiest way to play with friends and have private rooms. I hear Showdown will be introducing that later. I love Showdown’s map. I wish before you squad up, you could be in the same training area as your friends. So they can show you stuff. Again, something that Pop One has already.

Its not gonna kill pop one for one reason, ITS 20 BUCKS. May as well buy tabor or pavlov at that price.

showdown has zero balance and is currently nowhere near as polished. for me the key to making is superior is the weapon wheel making it a lot more user friendly and fast paced. I also think showdown would be so much better if they got rid perks like resurrection and teammate buy back. I also think the climbing and movement is substantially better on pop one.

I hate pop one. its so janky and i have to dislocate my shoulder every game to compete with the sweats and their movement tech. The guns shoot spit wads and have the spread of a 12 gauge at 50 ft. And people know all the exploits to gain an advantage you cant really compete with. Oh look ive got this peak spot you cant shoot me in lol.
