Hi sir! Can you make a video about where we can apply for externships? I have read that observerships usually do not count as USCEs
  • That "huh?...Aiyoo" at the end!😅 Dr. Rajeev, How com-pe-titive is Orthopaedics, It's been two years since I graduated, And I've been giving my FMGE screening test & USMLE steps, currently looking for research posiitons will be applying for 2025 Match. Would this gap make my CV look bad if I apply for Ortho resident after taking a pre-lim surgery position? Would scoring high in step 2 make up for it? The reasons for my delay were changes in NMC guidelines for FMGs & I had to undergo a knee surgery too, would these be valid reasons if I were to apply for competitive specialties/programs?

Hello Sir! Thank you for this informative video. This was written on the page "CHOP observerships must not be used to obtain US-based experience for the purpose of seeking graduate medical training (residency and fellowship) in the United States." Could you possibly explain what that means? And is it worth it if I apply for this for my residency application?
