Girl, I'm crying for you over here. Little Jordan should never have had to go through such hardship, but thank you for sharing and speaking light on this topic. You are so brave!

Thank you for sharing your story, it takes a lot of courage. It’s amazing how different books can feel like therapy.
  • Just for the Summer was my favorite book in April. I’m so sorry to learn of your experience in childhood. My event started at puberty. My abuser was a family member. Decades later my therapist helped me understand that my silence was controlled by being convinced it was all my fault and if I told anyone my wonderful step-dad would kill my abuser and my step-dad would go to jail. These abusers are wickedly smart and know how to control their young victims. Bravo to you for speaking out. Hopefully, your story will help others seek help. I was in my 50’s before I reached out to a therapist. It was really hard to seek out therapy, but it has improved my life so much. I wish you well. I am proud of how you went public with your story. I wish I’d been brave enough to tell the tale when I was your age. Lesson learned, it is never too late to heal from this abuse and to grow to love the best things about our lives and that we are worth the best things life can bring to us. It doesn’t magically erase our experience, but knowledge can increase our self-love and self-care. You have all my respect and support. ❤

Thank you for your vulnerability ❤ I’m so sorry! I love that you shared this friend 🫶🏻I haven’t personally went through that but I’ve had close family & friends experience horrible things in childhood & it’s so important to speak out against it. So thank you for sharing, so people feel like they are not alone ❤
  • I DNF-ed Funny Story. I have enjoyed a lot of Emily Henry books. Beach Read was my favorite as well. But this one just wasn’t for me. My favorite book from April was The Wishing Game. As someone who has loved books since I was a kid, this book hit me so hard. Thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. I’m so sorry you had to endure such horrible experiences. My heart breaks for you.🤗
  • Thank you for sharing your story and bringing awareness to this topic 💛
