“We’re Macs in a Windows-driven world” is too perfect. 😊
  • To me it feels that our "importance system" is simply different, with a different hierarchy of priorities, plus it is less conventional and less reliant on the outside influences or the external rules imposed on us. We are less afraid, somehow, to "sense outside the box" and to determine our own criteria of value / priority. K 🤗

The study that found that 42 % of individuals with ADHD are in excellent mental health, also found that 73.8 % of neurotypical people are in excellent mental health... So the ADHD population is doing WAY WORSE in this area...

I feel like I struggle twice because any ADHD coping mechanisms I try, my PDA just fires up and laughs it's ass off

How did we evolve though to get to a point in the cultural consciousness where we can’t function at a task unless something is enjoyable and fun? Is it the current fast pace of modern life? Is it social media requiring our brains? Is it people being totally stressed out?

A huge help for me as been cutting out caffeine and practicing mindfulness meditation for about 20 min a day. It took a few weeks to start feeling the effects. The mindfulness workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels has some simple mindfulness exercises I enjoy.

Are there studies targeting prison populations to determine the number of individuals with ADHD in prison? the same for psychiatric institutions? the more important it is, the more money it brings in. the more interesting it is, the longer the money will have to wait. Is this how we should see things?
