If you do double the size of Pearls smelter array, don't make the room its in bigger! Hide the extra smelters behind the wall. She'll wonder why the smelter is suddenly twice as fast.

Actually, yes, I do play bedrock, it was a gift. Family totally loves hermitcraft. I didn't know there was a difference in platforms when we first found you. Was researching how to play for my autistic 9 year old.

I used a furnace minecart once in my current world, when I was moving a shulker out of the end. That's pretty much the only useful function, moving hostile mobs on long journeys.
