Crews are working to clean up destroyed homes are business from storms that barreled through the Midwest and put Michigan through its first tornado emergency Tuesday. Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller said more than a dozen mobile homes in Pavilion Township were 'totally destroyed.' At least 16 people, he added, were injured there, though the injuries were not life-threatening. 'The clean-up efforts are tremendous. We're looking at homes throughout this community that are totally gone, they´ve been demolished,' Fuller said. Two reported tornadoes blitzed the city of Portage and an adjacent community Tuesday night, destroying homes and commercial buildings, including a FedEx facility that was ripped apart. #Weather #tornado #extremeweather

Yes of course its incredibly sad for the homes and lives that are lost but there is also something really sad about seeing these trees slowly falling to their deaths.
  • I live 25 mins from there . My sister-in-law and brother were at Best buy and the tornado was right behind them
  • 2:47 if it looks like the tornado isn't moving and it seems to be growing in size, it might be coming straight at you.

I wish people would stop using portrait mode for weather videos and only use landscape to capture everything.

That first clip, what with all those old-growth trees just getting ripped out of the ground, was sad to see. . .

It looks like the trees were pushed over, but they didn’t necessarily break? Although it’s hard to see, I wonder if they can be saved and replanted?

Amazingly, we had no human deaths, despite all of the damage and destruction.
  • 🙏🎯🌍🔥🔥🔥🔥 The world has changed Nam myoho rengekyo* 🙏 pray 🌍 peace 🕊️ be safe*+
  • The upside is the trees that fell over roots and all were sick and were going to need to be removed anyhow, now the property owners might be able to get some assistance. Trees with healthy root systems don't do that.
