Terrifying footage was filmed of a massive tornado was touching down in Nebraska. Video shows swirling storm clouds while a siren sounds in the background as the camera zooms out to reveal the tornado's full scale. Storm chasers also documented a tornado crossing a highway near Omaha, revealing the destructive power of the funnel-shaped storm which flipped a massive big rig truck and flattened nearby homes, ripping them to shreds.

Kudos to the person filming that 2nd video. Great coverage. Calm. Steady. No cussing and screaming... I'm truly impressed.
  • It looked as if it was about to form again just left of where it roped out. Y’all do a great job, no yelling, no external distractions. Awesome work.

Tornado in the middle of an open field: deadly beauty. Tornado in the middle of a debris field: Damn you, tornado.

Thank you for not screaming through it. Amazing documentation.

Incredible video. Absolutely incredible. No stupid music. No yelling. Just wind, great force, and carnage.

Nebraskans are wild. Like they're just driving like this is an ordinary day. Seeing a tornado that wide would have flipped me out!

This thing passed right behind my neighborhood in Bennington. So glad it missed us.

I lost my brother Fathers Day last year to Hurricane force winds in Oklahoma, he was told minutes before by his father to get in the car and come to the shelter, he thought he and his family could just ride it out in their home. That one decision nearly killed his entire family who were laying in bed next to him when a giant tree ripped through their roof crushed him on his bed to the floor, pinned his son under him, who we thought we had lost too initially, fortunately minor scrapes and bruises, His sister was by her mothers feet (also minor injuries) and his pregnant wife was made to call his father, contact the ambulance and rescue the kids from that Nightmare. The Sirens Hadn't sounded yet. Only AFTER he was dead did the warning come. DON'T WAIT, GO TO THE SHELTER EARLY, BACKPACK WITH PROVISIONS.

This wasn't taken from an apartment, it was taken from a business. In the 2nd clip, you can see the tornado hit Garner Industries. Then it crosses the highway, and you can't see it, but there's a video all over the internet of the tornado hitting a train. That train is right behind those trees.

Lincoln and Waverly were so lucky that day. No deaths, no mass destruction like in Elkhorn. So incredibly grateful we came out of that day mostly unscathed (except Garner Industries of course).

That is something I never want to see in person.

I'm in rural colorado mountains. And we are getting high winds 70 mph and snow. And when that cold air reaches the hot air of plains turns into monster tornados

Bizarre and amazing and strangely beautiful, except for the damage they cause.

These Nebraska tornadoes are some of the clearest but strange last I’ve seen They don’t travel too far

I believe it has already passed us here SW of Oklahoma City. We had heavy winds, heavy ran. The worst is over. Prayers to those in Barnsdall and other counties that got hit hard.

What a photogenic tornado. Nice catch and hope everyone is ok
  • @wenderella81
So wild. They almost don't even look real. Praying for those communities.

This one is staying stuck in one place for long periods. these seem to be the types that cause mega damage
  • 05:58 Why in the world would anyone drive a truck that top heavy in the direction of a tornado?
