When movie trailers were as good as the movie without giving away the entire story

Worth watching. Really good movie. Ali was so beautiful and at her best I think in this movie
  • She was still beautiful in this 1972 classic, don't get me wrong, but hard to believe how much she aged from Love Story (1970) to this. She went from looking 22 to looking 35 in two years.
  • Einer der schönsten Filme die ich je gesehen habe super Handlung super Schauspieler Marion

Despite everything, Doc and his wife stuck together which is what I loved about this film.
  • A good number of the generation that grew up with this movie are either no more or off computer. still got the movie on Betamax.

A great action classic with a great man and a stylish guy of his and any era, Steve Mcqueen and his then wife Ali Mcgraw where those times are great and stylishly ved then such cult films as Serpico, French Connection, China Town, Goodfather and many others great camera and skillful approach Director Sam Peckinpah later created as a Sequel with Alec Baldwin and the great Kim Basinger 😎

Steve and Ali are great as is Ben Johnson as a crooked businessman.
  • this was a far better movie than the remake. I regret watching it after the remake. The acting is far better and had I not watched the remake it would have been suspenseful as well. Its done in manner that makes it seemed realistic and hard hitting and technically better even though it was made 20 years before. The remake made one intelligent change but really could not capitalize on the idea. It seemed fake and artificial throughout as Baldwin and Basinger were just not into it. But what a coincidence. Future husband wife in both movies played the leads but the oldies did it far better.
  • Love this one. I was surprised at the time that Ben Johnson got knocked off after a little past the first half hour. My one bone to pick was there was way too much time with Al Lettieri/Sally Struthers/Jack Dodson as it had little to do with the plot (such as throwing chicken around the car like a little kid) Ali could sure drive ("Punch it baby!!!")

I seem to not get enough of this movie, I know every line and scene, the one that boggles me is when Rudy shoots and it looks like it hit Steve's hand..And why leave the front door way. Dodged a machine gun..Sally was a successful actress she really didn't need this part.
