Tom took a few days off to go gold prospecting in Eastern Oregon. Let's see if he can apply the techniques he's learned in Southern Oregon and find some nuggets with his metal detector. A modern day treasure hunt in Gold Rush country.

    My Great Grandfather owned a construction company that paved many eastern Oregon roads for the first time. My grandfather worked with him in the early 50s. He used to say that some of the roads they paved, they paved with gold. Sumpter down to Unity'ish.

  • Congrats on incredible finds. I started golding this year and have had three trips to Eastern Oregon, specifically the Blue Mountains and Wallowa Mountains. I have researched and mapped more spots that I can visit anytime soon, lol. I wouldn't mind the company of seasoned prospectors, though.
