Hawkeye S1EP3 Spoiler Review

Hey, Jeremy! DUQUESNE = DOO-KANE. Here's my take on EPISODE 3: Terrific action ripped straight from the page this week! I love the use of Christmas music juxtaposed with frenetic violence! "Uncle" is most definitely KINGPIN. That chuckle even sounded like D'Onofrio's. Zahn McClarnon of "Westworld" and "Doctor Sleep" plays Maya's Native American dad, here repurposed as a Tracksuit Mafia member who got gutted by Ronin. The bloody handprint on her face becomes her logo in white paint in the comics. Dragons do exist in the MCU in Ta-Lo, in Netflix Marvel as fossils and in the comics where they are known as alien Makluans. KAZI translates for ECHO because Clint's ASL is rudimentary. Clint massages the truth about Ronin saying Nat killed him. Echo's no slouch in the martial arts department and puts Clint through his paces. Fantastic archery by Clint frees Kate, pins Echo and incapacitates the Tracksuit Bros. The '72 CHALLENGER chase is right out of the comics except the Hawkeyes steal the flashy car for their getaway on the page. The chase opens with an impressive single take! Trick arrows: putty, smoke, net, explosive, grapple, acid, USB, suction and Pym-tip! Kate serves as Clint's ears for an emotional chat with little Nate. Kate designs Clint's actual comic book outfit! Pizza Dog gets taken for a walk. Barton and Bishop are on the same wavelength. Mama Bishop's criminal database has Kazi listed as an employee of Sloane Industries. Jacques gets the drop on Clint with his own Ronin blade! Is Jacques friend or foe? SWORDSMAN versus Hawkeye next week! What will Maya's and Kate's reactions be if they discover Clint was Ronin? What does that Avengers watch do that "Uncle" Fisk wants it so badly? Will Kazi put on his Pagliacci clownface before the end? Is Vera Farmiga really MADAME MASQUE? For how long? That would be a big change from the comics in which Masque is Giulietta Nefaria aka Whitney Frost, not Eleanor Bishop. That is, unless, Eleanor is an alias like Whitney.
