An area of disturbed weather over the central tropical Atlantic
Ocean is expected to interact with an approaching tropical wave
during the next several days. Some development of this system is
possible while it approaches the Lesser Antilles during the early
to middle part of next week and moves generally west-northwestward
near the Greater Antilles towards the latter part of the week.

Good forecast David. In ten days if the storm goes over Hispaniola it’s not going to survive the terrain. But if it goes North Northwest towards the Bahamas, PR, Antilles region of the Northern Caribbean then it definitely has a chance. Since the NHC has marked the storm, what I’m beginning to think is the possibility of the storm taking a West North West turn which it will have plenty of humidity and energy to intensify. We better keep our eyes open regardless, because I have a feeling that this season will have storms that exceed expectations which is deadly like Katrina. She wasn’t even expected to survive when she was just a depression, but she stayed away from the dry air and now she’s our modern standards of measuring hurricanes
