Legion had a great reason for alts and repeat the campaign which was to see it from the perspective of the class you played and the class halls. It offered you cool lore and a fun story related to your class and felt special. That was the last time i saw the game had a re playable approach

Kinda wish I could pull a time running alt in to normal play and take advantage of pre patch activities/awakened raid bullion for trinkets etc.

Would it be a better idea to buy Dragon Riding cosmetic unlocks from crafting orders now, or wait until after pre-patch/TWW drops?

Veteran here, played competetively during tBC and Wrath, last time I played high-end content throughout at least one patch was in MoP, last time I even once saw the high-end content was Legion, completely skipped Shadowlands and Dragonflight (including leveling) Gonna give WW a try. Reanimated my account a week ago, loving the talent tree. Shadowlands and Dragonflight stories feel like a mess - I was reading every quest in the past, and now I am feeling like it's healthier to speedrun through them without reading, keeps sanity safe. Feeling skeptical overall, glad I skipped what I skipped. But I have hope since I saw Metzen return.

I've been working on my dragon in the remix, just came back to the game recently and enjoying it.

What about class changes - would be good to know if these are active in prepatch or for release?

8:00 big prep to do now is get alts to the fiar and the xp buff & park them till pre patch cuts 60-70 by 40%

@Bellular Im not sure if anyone has said this but the warglaives (both main and offhand) must be farmed on one character, then you have to kill illidan during tbc timewalking to unlock the xmog

Does the pre-patch event drop any flightstones?

My bank and void storage is stuffed with soulbound items that my Rogue couldn't wear, so I can't wait for the Warband feature to finally collect all these appearances!

Honestly if you plan to level any given character in TWW I would recommend at least grabbing a weapon from the bullion vendor. It doesn’t cost much and will make leveling a lot easier for most alts. The gear from the prepatch event is a lower ilvl. If you don’t plan to level that character until halfway through TWW then just get xmog gear.
