There are rock n’ roll lead singers and then there is Freddie Mercury. His flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range made his live performances the center of some of the most epic rock concerts in the '70s and '80s.

Queen’s music was highly influenced by his theatrical style, which defied the conventions of a rock frontman at the time, but it’s what set Queen apart from other rock bands.

Mercury sadly passed away in 1991, at just 45 years old, due to complications from AIDS. Since his death, there are still things being learned about the enigmatic rock frontman. Watch this video to find out the details!

I believe he loved Mary so much because she was the first person to really believe in him and accepted him for who he truly was. True love 💚

I saw a shooting star the other day and the first thing I said was “I’m burning through the sky yeah” RIP Freddie

Freddie's unwavering love for Mary proves that we fall in love with a person's spirit, not their gender.

I will never forget watching him perform on Live Aid as a teenager. I still can’t find the right words to describe it.

I don't care what he was, he was and always will be my favorite singer/artist.

My mate’s dad met him in 82’. He worked in the concert business and apparently freddie had to switch hotels like 5 times before he got satisfied. He also described him as very shy and introverted.

I love Freddie's speaking voice as much as his singing voice.

His Sexual Orientation has no baring on the fact that Freddie Mercury was an absolute genius and icon in his own right. Why to this day, do people feel the need to focus on Freddie’s sexual preference, rather than his extraordinary musical abilities. R.I.P. Freddie’s Mercury, you are forever missed!

"The show must go on" was recorded 6 weeks before he died! He was amazing!

Freddie was such a strong man. He never complained about that he was going to die. He wanted to make music and did that till the very end, altough he knew he was dying he went to the studio to create one last masterpiece: The innuendo album, what was a goodbye to his fans.
