This is the first of my videos that I did not personally edit so if it seems a little different or better that's why. Noodles was a great help with both the editing and research for this video and it would not have been possible otherwise. I now have an amazon affiliate link so if this video got you interested in Spawn or other comics and you want to support the channel consider buying it though these links instead. Spawn is that Edgy and overpowered OC we all made in middle/Highschool, except he had a good writer and a publisher.
  • @sergioavila2512
God of war creators should make a spawn game where he takes on the gods of hell.
  • @doublep1980
He became a literal god at one point in the story, who created a new universe. That´s how ridiculous OP this character is.

Spawn will forever be the greatest Comic Book Characters of all time Outside of Marvel and DC.

I always loved the "Symbiotic" features and abilities of SPAWN's suit.

People "dodging light" almost never actually means they move at the speed of light. The writers aren't actually thinking to themselves "he moves faster than light to dodge the light" they just think "he's dodging an attack".

Spawn is bad ass. Also his rogue's gallery of villains is equally incredible too, many iconic characters. Also his powers, the suit adjusts itself to his battle conditions, so does his magic and his will to fight. That's probably why he turns into a overpowered character depending no battle conditions.

What I like about Spawn is that he's like an amalgamation of multiple different characters. Nice vid.
  • How i explain spawn to my friends "He was a murderer who went to hell and made a deal to come back. Oh he also became God once"
  • @oilsberg6467
Al Simmons the man who saved the world but could not save himself most epic line in the comic

I am glad I finally see someone scale the monster that is called spawn. Keep it up.

I didn't know how strong Spawn was until I had looked him up. Spawn is Op but his writers had to dumb down his powers basically.
  • @Q10gaming
Spawn is basically the definition of OP😂💀
  • @TevyaSmolka
spawn is probably most OP character in images comics next to invincible

Spawn shouldn't be in MK11, he could take over out world overnight...but I love it
  • @ScipioWasHere
Of course he couldn’t devour his soul. No ones got more soul than a black man.

Its incredible how much the comic, and Spawn's power set, have progressed over the years. I remember reading some of the earliest issues back in '93-'94 as a tween shortly after reading all of Todd's run on Venom. It was a whole new, dark world of comic books for me, but I loved how Spawn often blurred the lines between Dr. Strange-esque mysticism and 'street hero' Spiderman-esque story beats. The power scales might have changed but Al Simmon's conflicts feel consistent with his character, and its refreshing that they chose to never walk back his powerset the way they have other comic book heroes. Is there any particular runs worth reading this late into Spawn's run? Or any good jumping on points for someone who never stuck with them past the mid-90's?
