The progression of power was so well done in this show. You see Kenichi training for every small increase in skill and power. Even when the masters are just talking or, sometimes, exposition dumping on the audience, you still see Kenichi training in the background and complaining. So every step he takes feels natural. This show needs a part 2.

this anime really needs a comeback, i loved every fight scene in it from the students to the masters. i had finished reading the manga a long time ago and really really wish alot of the fights in the manga could be animated. so much good stuff.

Did anyone notice Kenichi's breakfall at 1:32 ? Very short but important detail. He would have been knocked out or died if his head had hit that asphalt ground.

0:58 For those who did not watch the anime yet, Kenichi change his entire rythem to his masters. In other words he is copying his master way of fighting to the letter like he did with Odin.

I think the part that gets missed in the "Let's diss Kenichi's morals" train is where he says "I can't hold back anymore if I'm going to save you from yourself." He didn't hit her, but joint locks are intensely painful especially when he had her pressed into the ground. Once he had the measure of her he stopped fighting.

This is an amazing show, and I really hope that they continue with the anime. I totally like this show, it was the first one that I watched, it brings me so many good memories :,)

Did they cut the part of "I can't even tell what his next move is" "Well thats cause there is no next move, he is just trying to get a grope in" xD

When he sat down....that’s when he had her beat. Because what he’s doing is fudoza or “Immovable Seat”. A ninjutsu art made for grappling and counterattacks from the sitting position, in as few movements as possible. Taking away her speed and agility, since she has to get close to him, and all he has to do is counter, grapple, and joint lock. Ending the fight right there.

That beat in the first minute reminds me of first Mortal Kombat movie. That movie had some good music.

I swear i thought this series ended after the fight with Ryuto? How many more episodes are there? Are they english dubbed?

This really was Kenichi's closest fight, on account he couldn't really fight back due to his morals.
