Sainz was more scared of taking Lewis out so he went after the rookie

it was like a 70/30 for Carlos causing the contact. Piastri reacted mature he is quick on track and also very respectful. He has such a bright future ahead of him

Oscar wasn’t the one misjudging his braking distance and locking up into the corner Carlos..

Sainz was taking the outside then quickly switched to the inside where Oscar was. No where Oscar could go tbh

If anything it was more Sainz’s fault. He had space, he turned into Piastri.

Interesting how defensive Carlos has been knowing he literally in simple words
tried to bully Oscar on the track. Anyone who’s anyone knows that was on Carlo. Turn one at spa with Hamilton on your left and a fast rookie on your right
he got desperate
locked up, squeezed Oscar. It’s really simple as that. His response on X doesn’t make him look any better tbh.

Carlos feeling the pressure. More and more errors creeping in from him. Pretty funny he skids across the road so late and calls someone a rookie hahaha what a goofball

Saint was in no man's land with that move, he was clearly at fault
  • @OutlawedOutlier
Oscar had the pavement, Sainz closed in on him. If he has all of this spa experience and he knows he has a rookie next to him who doesn’t have all of this spa experience one would think he would be a little more cautious.

There is a gentleman’s agreement (or a rule? Idk) between the drivers to not swerve under braking and Piastry was already on the brakes and committed to his line. Then Sainz locked up and swerved to the inside to avoid the car ahead (I think Lewis) making it 3 wide. Piastry was already on the brakes before Sainz made that move and had nowhere to go. So I think Sainz is more at fault as he made the error of locking up to avoid Lewis

Sainz was at fault extremely immature to call out Oscar
  • @np4029
    Ericsson hit them both
  • @chrisbraid2907
So Carlos is actually admitting he knew the risk he was taking and still blaming Oscar. Not a rookie mistake, Carlos wanted right of way, racing doesn’t happen like that matey

as a ferrari fan im starting to dislike sainz more and more

How sainz can lock up into a turn, wreck someone who had a part of the car covered and avoid a penalty is crazy to me. If his reasoning is “people don’t go three wide” then sainz should’ve backed out
