This is so wonderful and filled with energy that it makes me cry. I was 12 in 1978. My favorite part comes at the end, with Debbie's triple, growling passion singing "oh I can't control myself" backed by a magical hook from Jimmy's keyboards. Plus: Clem's exciting drumming. Thank you, Blondie.

I've always said that David Bowie ruled the 70s, but I still listen to other punk and pop from those days: Blondie, The Clash, The Ramones, Elvis Costello, the Sex Pistols, the Rolling Stones, Gang of Four, Fleetwood Mac, Velvet Underground, Elton John, Television, Iggy Pop, Wire, Patti Smith, CCR, The Police -- just so so many great bands. And it was from this roiling petri dish that we got R.E.M., the Pixies, and the Psychedelic Furs! ... Oh, man, I miss the 80s too. 👍
