I think what Kendrick is saying here, is that unfortunately, some of the problems that exist within the black community today, are considered “part of the culture” and almost accepted in a way. And that is unfortunate. There is nothing “black” about gangs, broken families, toxic relationships. These are results of generations of traumas that black Americans have faced, and while that should be understood, it should not be accepted as good by us.

I don't care how many records anyone has sold, or how many awards others have won, this Brotha has something so God given that no earthly accolade could do him justice. Keep doing your thing Kendrick...

Kendrick is in a league of his own, lyrically and artistically. He doesn’t need to compete with anyone.

He did smoke our top five. he successfully picked apart the short comings of his life, his industry, and his community with MMATBS. He separated himself from it and grew. If you listen to the heart part 5 then the album it honestly is such a good recap of what the album is going to talk about. Kendrick never fails he will die one of if not the greatest.

How does Kendrick have the highest expectations possible on him and he STILL blows everyone away. This man is a one of a kind artist.

Cole and Drake could never conceptualise this, lyrically, sonically or visually.

This man 's creativity is on another level. This album is a masterpiece, I don't know what the hell Cole is talking about. I would rather see Cole and Kendrick collab on an album than waste time going back n forth.

All I can do is thank Kendrick for this track, this video and this tribute. RIP Nipsey Hussle and Kobe. Kendrick is a true artist.
