  • Good job downing the glucose😂😂 So glad you knew about your mom and sister failing the 1 hour test. Good luck on next test. You have a great attitude, this is just another step to achieving your goal of a healthy baby girl. Hey Q, you’re training your mom for when the baby is here. Mom’s never get to be on the phone without someone interrupting them. Glad Gray is doing well.

My daughter just had a baby in September. She failed her first glucose test, but passed the 3 hour no problem. Good luck to you! Also, when I was doing the glucose tests, my OB let me due a diet version. Much, much better. That drink is gross!
  • Wow so many questions about this sugar test and gestationial diabetes. . I'll just Google them. you look so great!!.. Is it 6 months sun and 6 months dark where you are?? .. hope all goes well. Hi kitty💕🙏🙏

I hate saying pass or fail because it’s nothing that we do to pass or fail! But i “ failed” my 1 hour test and “passed” my 2 hour test. The 1 hour test wasn’t bad. The 2 hour test (75g sugar) i had a hard time with. I felt faint and had to lay down.
  • use a straw for icky stuff like that and contrast too ;)
  • i had a friend at work who had gestational diabetes. we always ate lunch together and i felt sorry she had to test stick her fingers, so i did it with her. we were research scientists at a major cancer hospital -- data was our thang lol. we noticed that when we ate an apple after lunch, our blood glucose levels were lower. she didn't have any risk factors either and controlled it with diet. her bg levels returned to normal after pregnancy
  • Next time in a glass with a straw and ice and an umbrella - pretend cocktail !🍹 Looking good - you are so positive made me laugh - "this could be so much worse" ha ha ha....🤣🤣🤣 You did great . How did the bump react to the cocktail? 🧚‍♀️ Love to Gray. Jan 🧓🇬🇧x Q feeling left out already.
  • They had to use heat to get blood out of my sis. I drank something pink when I was 17 and they found out I have hypoglycemia. 1964..getting up there in age. I just watch what I eat. Never had this test in 1974 when I was pregnant. Something new? Looking good lady👍🙏💕🇺🇸

I'm 29 weeks pregnant & test positive for gestational diabetes
  • My sister is 7 months pregnant and has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes . She's in a special diet now , no sugars at all and takes her blood glucose 3 times a day

I failed, but I had hyperemesis gravidarum (extreme nausea the whole pregnancy) with my pregnancy. And then I failed the 3 hour as well. Doctor just had me check my sugars for a few weeks.

Hi. Hope the three hour test results were okay! Curious, what is Q’s full name? What breed is he? He is so pretty. How did you get him to settle into the long hours in the car when you drove to Alaska?
  • Did you have your port removed since you were a cancer patient? Why couldn't they take your blood through that? During your cancer treatment you must have had many blood tests that checked every darn thing including glucose levels on a regular bases. All of my blood work was drawn through my port. Not all technicians are trained to use it. If they aren't trained they use a vein. I hope that you are feeling well. Our body is unique. It always make me wonder how they know how fast that sugar water gets into your blood compared to someone else. Boy I bet your baby will be kicking up a storm because of that drink.
  • Back in the day, the OB's office made us do the glucose test after drinking a Coca-cola, lol!

50 grams of sugar is just a little bit more than a can of soda. Not really a huge deal.
