The Cancelled Superman Game no one Remembers

A Superman game really isn’t as impossible as some people think. 1. It’s not that hard to manage how powerful he is. There are many versions of the character that can’t destroy planets in a single punch. We feel powerful as Kratos even though he can likely destroy continents within lore 2. His powers can be organized in weapon wheels and have a cool down. Maybe some are unlocked throughout the game 3. He may not be able to fight normal humans but you can easily make him fight super humans, robots, guys with kryptonite weapons 4. Flight isn’t really that hard to implement. Plenty of games have done it pretty well. The only challenge is making a player feel fast without crashing into buildings constantly Superman isn’t impossible to make a game out of, he just needs a group of passionate and great game developers with a good track record. Rocksteady would have been perfect

Further evidence of how WB treats Superman as an afterthought

I don't think that a Superman game is as complicated as people make it out to be. Most people don't read his comics so they assume that he's virtually unkillable when he's really not. Over the past almost 85 years of his existence, he's faced MANY villians who came close to killing him and gave him a good fight. The whole "he's too OP" excuse is really stupid considering he has a full blown rouges gallery designed just for him lol Great video man

Ya know, the more I see of Squad Kill the Justice League, the more I'm getting the suspicion they had a Superman game and they just morphed it into that that'll be. Fucking unbelievable

Always wanted to know what happened to this game. Superman has been mistreated in most media for decades. Shame a game got cancelled. A. Great game could really bring him back in favoritism with the public. When the most popular Superman stories are Injustice and Man of Steel, you know truth, justice, and the american way has lost its way

A Superman game can focus on Clark’s life as Superman as well his job as a reporter to break up the action. The story Clark is investigating could tie into the main villain. So much potential. I hope Gunn will allow for one to be made that is on the level of Rocksteady’s Arkham series and Insomniac’s Spider-Man and not like the other superhero games we get these days. Hopefully the Wonder Woman game is great. And I’ve used that concept art of Superman flying through Metropolis at night as my wallpaper for years

People keep saying it's impossible to make a Superman game because he's invincible But I can literally get on Injustice 2 right now and beat the ever living shit out of Superman as the TMNT

Superman gets shafted in favor of a suicide squad live service game, WB is back at their bullshit again.

If Spider-Man and Batman can have an awesome gaming franchise, than so can Superman. I don’t care what studio makes it, Santa Monica, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, ioi, Square Enix, whoever makes it, they better make it great. Superman deserves more respect just as Batman and Spider-Man, instead of being tossed around and treated like a toy.

I could understand how it’s tough for developers to create a good Superman game due to basically being invincible and too easy for any player but I personally would have had the game have a story where Superman loses his powers but throughout the game he’s gaining it all back more and more giving the player focus on all his abilities and at the final gaining everything back making it exciting for players to look forward to and even keep everything permanently and go do Superman stuff open world or even replay the missions with all your powers if you wanted to

This, and another video talked about unmade games today. The other one was Justice League: Mortal, the video game that was tie-in for the 2007/2009 movie by George Miller and revealed many concept art.

Why modern day developers are so obsessed with making the heroes go bad? We already got evil justice league with Injustice, and now with the upcoming Suicide Squad as well. I just wanted a Superman game equivalent in quality to the Arkham series, story wise and gameplay wise

Sucks that Superman hasn't gotten a good game yet.

I'm fairly certain the Brainiac in Metropolis for Suicide Squad KTJL is a hold over from the Superman game.

I wish that insomiac and rocksteady were the only ones allowed to make superheroes games.. Imagine an insomiac related to iron man and a rocksteady game about flash,superman or even green lantern

Rewatched the video again , so sad that the next possibility of getting a Superman game might be another low budget movie tie-in due to James saying some games will connect to the movies , I really hope that isn’t the case with Superman .
