1,500 hours, multiple raids of the grove, & still there's something in this game I've never seen. Unbelievable! Great find!

Miss out on a LOT of exp without Marcus summoning his buddies. That said, this also avoids one of the more annoying fights in the game, with Isobel and her game of "How many attacks of opportunity can I get hit by!?"

This fight is much easier than the one with the Ghouls.

There’s actually also a way you can jump Marcus. Apparently there’s written orders for his mission to kidnap Isobel in the tower that you can show Jaheira before hand. I’ve never seen the cutscene myself, but I experienced a bug after the fight where I could “show Jaheira, Marcus’ order”. And she positioned the Harpers to counter Marcus… after the fight was already over.

If it's a choice between a honor run going wrong or less xp, i'll take the less xp any day. Good riddens to Marcus.

Ah so killing (what she believes to be) her ally makes her more likely to believe that you are a good guy. Makes sense to me.

You don't have to raid the grove, you can just ignore it. One night in mountain pass and all tieflings are gone, and grove is sealed.

Hey quick tip to not have to scroll for smite or to use it in combination with other smites: You can make smite an ask reaction (I don’t believe either actually use your reaction) in your character sheet for both crits and normal smites. Also this was a cool interaction, great find!

First time I have ever seen a controller used. That looked complicated.

You can still talk to Marcus by ignoring the tieflings altogether. They’re still dead but you don’t lose out on Karlach and Wyll. Idk if that’s been changed in recent patches though.

I got him “saving me” from Jaheira on my first playthrough. I did not raid the Grove 😂
