Chinese Satellite XW-2B, It's Alive!!!!

Join me for a pass of Chinese Linear Ham Radio Satellite XW-2B. This satellite recently came back to life and is running on solar power only. The XW class of satellites were fantastic, and this one does not disappoint at all. As you will see at the end of this video even pointing through the trees I had it at 2 degrees still. FT4 is also running great on this satellite, but no one was on for this pass.
The majority of this pass is spent in QSO with AE2MP. Matthew has a fantastic sounding station and recently put together his very own set of WiMo X-Quads. He has them set up temporarily, but they are working great!

Is it bad that when I read Chinese satellite, I thought, "Did anyone point an antenna at a Chinese balloon?".....🤔🧐😆 Another great video, Rob! 73!

That's AWESOME! I had no idea the XW birds and the TEVEL mission birds were sunset - What a total bummer! I'll make sure to get on the XW birds while they still work. Some of them get a little goofy I've noticed - I just picture the thing spinning around in space aimlessly.
