Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, Miles Teller, and Theo James did a great job in this first outing for Divergent. Really solid showing for the story here. We know a lot of people have mix feelings for this series as we have seen a lot of comments about this one. Divergent did a great job of keeping itself in its own lane of sorts since a lot of people compare this to Hunger Games and Maze Runner. We know 4 were supposed to be made as you all have mentioned. So lets see how this goes!
Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) lives in a futuristic world in which society is divided into five factions. As each person enters adulthood, he or she must choose a faction and commit to it for life. Tris chooses Dauntless -- those who pursue bravery above all else. However, her initiation leads to the discovery that she is a Divergent and will never be able to fit into just one faction. Warned that she must conceal her status, Tris uncovers a looming war which threatens everyone she loves.

Tris mom's death still hits hard. The father too but Tris reaction to her mother's death felt real.

Tris having intimacy issues and fear of lust was so real for me when I read the book back in high school. A lot of young girls feel that way & Four making sure she felt comfortable going at her pace after seeing her fear was so romanticš

This is the only one of the three movies that I enjoyed. The best part was definitely the cast! Loved Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and Kate Winslet in their respective roles. I just fell so in love with the books that I expected so much out of the movies..and sad to say, the rest of the films did not live up to my expectations. If y'all do get the chance, please try reading the books! You won't regret it.

I actually really liked the first movie in this franchise, and I liked the first book in the series too... but I wasn't a fan of the rest of the movies or books.

The first film definitely did a great job introducing us to a new dystopian world, Iāve read all the books and itās still my number 1 series. One thing they didnāt mention in the movie (wasnāt that important) but tris didnāt just pick a random tattoo in the books. She decided to get that design because the 3 crows represent her family members

Here's a story about heights for you guys - My father was a blaster for construction projects, and he had no fear of heights at all.... I mean, this man would nap in the girders under the bridges he would work on. One time, he was helping to take down a building. He was sitting on the edge of the building with his legs dangling, eating and watching the girls in the park below. Perfectly content. He felt eyes on him, and turned to see a few cops and his boss (I think)! "It's ok son, we can talk about this..."! It turned out that an old lady in a building across the street saw him, and got the wrong impression! He was just chilling and having lunch, though....
