I’ve just lost so many friends and extended family in last week 😭😢. Also anniversary of my son and dad’s death and funerals two weeks apart. Different years but grief sucks. It's me again. You're spot on, as usual. I'm in the middle of writing act 2. I struggled with imposter syndrome for a month or two but it's clearing up. It took a lot of effort to remind myself that all I feared were phantasms absent from the present and belonging to the past and future. My family is from the Mediterranean. I did step on broken glass the other day. I do have a black water bottle--It was a gift from a person I had to leave behind because we weren't meant to be. I don't drink from it. What you say about the Magician is accurate. In this project I have to get out of the way of my idea of the story and foster an openness that conceptualizes the creative act as a channel for the divine, the universe to come down and write itself on the page.
