The way you split your gaming between your full PC setup and your Deck makes a lot of sense. Think I'm gonna do the same (have an Ally X). Great vid! Long live handheld gaming
  • Steam Deck is fire, I just wish Valve Releases a new Stand Alone VR Headset.

It's honestly an Amazing device! I'm a 64GB version owner myself and I absolutely love it as a "companion device". I played main missions in Cyberpunk on my gaming PC soaking in the impressive story, audiovisuals and atmosphere, and then I do a lot of the smaller gigs on the Steam Deck. It wouldn't matter if the Steam Deck had 4x the performance, I would still prefer to play it on the big screen with my hi-fi setup. So performance is REALLY no issue for me. However, games these days are filled to the brim with great content that I honestly never find time to play. Many times I just need an easier, more accessible and comfortable way to do it, and that's where the Steam Deck comes in. I have been ploughing through games like never before since I got the Steam Deck This summer I have played Stardew Valley, Super Mario Sunshine (to completion, the perfect summer game) as well as tons of old DOS games, like "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis". It has been brilliant to run on the Steam Deck. Not to mention that DOS games scale up perfectly to 1280x800 with 4x integer scale, making them look absolutely gorgeous, filling up the whole screen as well! :)

The best thing that makes the Steam Deck so amazing is the awesome trackpads. I've used probably about 90% of consoles, played on laptops, and currently play on my PC so switching back forth (with gyro too!) makes it so convenient to play. The OLEDs also get a startling amount of battery life over the other handhelds lol. Legion Gos and Allys have great performance (at 2x cost) but absolutely struggle without their power cords. Steam Deck can emulate half of the games for like 3x longer due to all of the efficiency upgrades. It's genuinely the most impressive console I've ever seen. To have my entire steam library on the Deck is stellar, and I can effectively emulate anything I want (and high end stuff can be streamed from my PC lmao.)

On my steam deck, I play mostly platformers and racing games, and a few fps games, like Gunfire Reborn.

Hi, great video. But one thing do you need recommendations for a microphone stand?
  • @Nodster
Using my Deck as a PC as it does not throw out nearly as much heat as the PC in a west facing room with the summer sun beating down on the room (oh the irony of saying that when you live in the UK) Imagine how disheartened I was when I purchased my 64GB LCD Steam Deck and just over two weeks later the OLED model came out lol, they kinda dropped that bombshell unannounced. I probably could have got it replaced for an OLED model or some sort of voucher for my steam account but meh, The LCD model is fine and I put a 1TB NVMe in it anyway and more recently a 1.5TB Micro SD card for Emulation.

I have only used the epic game store for like two games that I don't even play anymore and the same thing goes with origin and all the other launchers. I mostly just play steam games and emulate console games so it's perfect for me for that reason. Also I have a desktop but it is actually less powerful than the steam deck because of how old it is lmao. Like I'm still rocking the GTX 770. I'm not in a good place financially or otherwise to build a new pc so I'm getting this for the portability and also just the raw power and versatility
