The #PowerRangersPreservationProject Presents Ninja Storm Screen Tests: Sally Martin! 🌊

As is commonplace for most film projects, Ninja Storm shot wardrobe and hair/make-up tests of the main characters before production rolled to see how each would look on film and make adjustments accordingly. This segment features Sally Martin as Tori Hanson [Blue Wind Ranger] in her Ranger costume — both helmetless and with the open helmet minus visor + faceplate that would feature regularly throughout the series — shot on location at New Zealand’s Studio West and directed by Koichi Sakamoto on October 17, 2002.

The first set-up features Sally on the Storm Chargers set under studio lighting, holding her open-faced helmet while sporting braided bunches to get a 360° view of the costume; followed by another spin with her helmet on. The third set-up features Sally in her open-faced helmet only, outside the studio in natural lighting.
