In keeping with Dreams of the Deep's cosmic horror theme, "Summon The Choir" is a tale from the world of Bloodborne, recounting Master Willem and his troupe's discovery and use of the Old Blood that would bring unknowable power and begin The Nightmare. In his youth and foolishness he felt himself unstoppable, only to find his mind trapped forever in madness. Remixes of Dreams of the Deep will be coming soon on "Hymns of the Dark - EP" releasing September 17th!

Thanks to ‪@ABluSkittle‬ for another incredible art piece!

Lyrics:
Here we're frenzied by the illusion
We're dying for a transfusion
A cure to kill the virus in our midst

This city needs a savior
Healed by the church's favor
Experimental taste of moonlight's bliss

First blood
From cosmic wonders
A dark flood
Of power from under
Congregate and we begin the recovery
Praise be
The gods have fallen
Fear me
And heal the rotten
Summon the choir for we've made a discovery

Now the surgery is complete
And mortality is defeated
The needles grant the power in our veins

Brought by the holy hunters
Old ones and dreams of thunder
A sacrifice within the flames

Though the treatments take their toll
I've changed the human soul
This is power beyond control
Sing for newly granted eyes
And dreams now realized
For the righteous and divine

  • This is what my fellow cult members call, “an absolute bop”.
  • @holschermarc
"Summon the Choir for we have made a discovery!" "What discovery?" "A fucking great song!"
  • @dwelfking8050
"Brought on by holy hunters, old ones and dreams of thunder. A sacrifice within the flames." Of course you would just casually drop bloodborne, demons' souls, sekiro and dark souls into a single line. Why not? It's just right there for the taking.

"Who's to blame? Who's to blame for the blood that wrought this shame?" - Gilbert "Goddammit Lawrence" - Master Willem probably
  • I know it says "Fear me and heal the rotten" but for the life of me I always somehow hear it as "Fear me and kill the rotten" which, given what happens in Bloodborne, still fits.

I'm posting this 2 years after this song came out, but it is a fucking BANGER and I feel like you should know you made something awesome.

You are one of only a few people who can make me audibly express joy upon seeing you in my notifications. Especially this song in particular, excellent work.
  • Choir: Summoned Beat: Dropped Dick: Out I am forcibly removed from the church
  • "recovery" can mean a lot of things. Healing the ill, gaining old knowledge from the great ones, ripping up the chalice tombs....
  • In love since the first beat. The chorus at the beginning? Chills. This is sung lore! Beautiful! Amazing! Aviators never let down your expectations
  • Oh hell yeah! I used this song as boss fight music in my D&D campaign. Made the whole night! Excellent job Avi!
  • It makes me so sad you haven't hit 1 million subs. Your music is unlike anything else I've heard and I absolutely adore it. Now if you'll excuse me ... proceeds to turn up the volume

me: This city needs a savoir Them: Who? Me: Aviators
  • This guy does some great Lovecraftian themed songs! If I could give a little nudge nudge... I'd love to see a darkest dungeon song!

Another great song from Aviators! I love how the whole process of old blood transfusions is presented in a way full of hope and faith in a better tomorrow. In my opinion, this perfectly reflects the atmosphere that had to accompany the founders of the Healing Church, which was created out of the good will to help and raise human consciousness beyond the reality we understand. However, as one proverb says, "Hell is paved with good intentions" which well predicted the catastrophe to befall Yharnam...
