  • My daughter has an Adam, super little car, heated seats and steering wheel, LEDs in roof lining, leather seats, air con.
  • Nice! I've had mine for 5 years and luckily haven't had a SINGLE issue yet, I feel really lucky. I did however get that shock a couple of times after driving lol.

I've just had the camchain changed on my daughter's 1.0 turbo but the engine was so quiet the mechanic was convinced the P0016 error was caused by a sensor, not the camchain.

I'm just about to buy one with the Glam specs. Great video, I'll look out for these possible issues on the test drive.

11 years with my car (2013 Slam unit here), there wasn't an "S" version when I bought mine and I'd get this one if you love to drive.
  • @hludadam

My girlfriend bought one half a year ago, one with 90k kms on it and the list with reasons its been in the garage 6 times is : 2x engine fault light, motor mount broken of at the metal part, cooling fan not working anymore, steering rack making noice and oh yeah the rad started leaking too. So my view is stay the hell away from opel!

Beware the phantom fuel gauge problems on these cars too. Will tell you you’re out of fuel when you’re not before jumping back to where it should be randomly. Mine has only done it on two occasions years apart but I know people who’s Adams do it all the time. Had my air con compressor replaced by Vauxhall too for free because it’s a known issue to them (it was leaking all over and wouldn’t hold any gas at all). Having said all this I still have my 1.4 Glam and won’t get rid until it literally drops to bits 😂✨
  • I always get a shock when I get out of the car and close the door, Renault Clio tce 90. Checked the earth but cannae find any faults. Any idea? What to check next?
  • Decent cars, however no aftermarket support. Best bet would be to swap out the 1.2 N/A for the VXR 1.4 or the Adam s 1.4, better brakes and lower 40 Mm and this car is a glorious back lane car/ starter mod hatch. Just be careful when buying parts for it. God bless 👍🏻 edit also I’d be prepared to get a new battery every few years as mines been giving me electrical issues for a while now

I was thinking of buying one of these but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole now, I've had several Vauxhall cars in the past always found them to be great for comfort. Things change I guess.
  • Hi, do you know anything about the easytronic gearbox on the vauxhall Adam? are they reliable?
