TAC COM Institute is comprised of professional crisis intervention consultants. Our training program specializes in a holistic approach to an all-hazard crisis response. We train first and on-scene responders in crisis communication techniques, and how to recognize and confront those individuals that suffer from a mental illness.

Our Crisis Negotiator Training Cadre is comprised of veteran local law enforcement investigators and SWAT crisis negotiators that have successfully prepared for, responded to, and recovered from over 5,000 crisis incidents involving the mentally ill population. Description

    In the greater Los Angeles area, police respond to a radio call involving the mentally ill every 6.5 minutes. Since 1998, law enforcement officers are more likely to be killed by a person with mental illness than by an assailant with a prior arrest for assaulting police or resisting arrest.
