"The MCU feels more like homework than an event" This line just describes the problem PERFECTLY

Just remember that Disney is the kind of a company that will sue a Daycare center for painting Disney characters on their walls.
  • She Hulk: "I get catcalled!" "I have it worse than you!" She says to the man who was tortured by his father and had to grapple with the government hunting him down as well as the monster living inside him.

The part about dumbing down male characters to make the woman seem better. ARCANE DID THAT SO WELL. They made amazing leads and gender didn’t matter, they were all amazing and shined in their own way. The men weren’t dumbed down and the woman weren’t toxic to them. They made all their characters good and the character development made them better. They weren’t afraid to let the leads lose they showed how it makes them strong and that they can get back up. They didn’t just make a guy in a woman’s body they made a well developed character

Disney forgot the golden rule of entertainment: "Leave the audience wanting more, not begging for mercy." After Avengers:Endgame, they should have taken at least a 5 year break.

The sad thing is, after endgame there where still obvious stories to be told Thor, Hulk and many others had unfinished stories yet they've done absolutely nothing with them, turning Thor into a parody of himself and forgetting Bruce existed

The MCU right now is what I expected superhero movies to be like, before I started watching them

What's weird to me about phase 4 is that there's so much coming out, but so little seems to be happening. Half the projects don't even have their own significant plots, let alone any form of overaching plot. The entire phase so far has added up to just the suggestion that there might be some multiverse stuff in phase 5 and it might be fun, maybe.
  • “Black widow was a disservice to Natasha. I think she deserved a better movie…and it should’ve been made a long, long time ago” PREACH!!!

I think the real final nail in the coffin was Thor. Its one thing to introduce a foolish character but to take one people loved and turn him into a literal joke is something else.

I’m so glad you said Civil War because that truly was the MCU’s crowning achievement. Winter Soldier is up there for me, but nothing had me glued to the screen like Tony when he said “I don’t care, he killed my mom” and the fight between them. I thought Cap might actually kill him. It was brilliant.
  • After Endgame, I had a good feeling like this would happen. In the comics, I thought it got confusing and went all over the place when they took the MCU into other worlds. In the comics, it’s freaking cool and amazing, but it’s so hard to convey all of that on the big screen. I knew general audiences would get confused and the MCEU is losing me and I’d imagine, most audiences.
  • The MCU after endgame is basically just a bunch of side quests/missions after beating the main campaign. The mcu needs to reinvent itself. It needs hero’s that could equal to iron man and cap’s charisma and position in the mcu.
  • I do agree that T'Challa could've been a great candidate for a future leadership going forward in the MCU, but no one could've seen the real life circumstances that struck.

Talking about Tony and Steve brought a tear to my eye. We really didn't know how good we had it.

I think what I liked most about Shang-Chi was how solid it felt on its own, it didn’t hinge on the overall MCU plot-line, but it succeeded in giving a genuinely good story. The score, visuals, acting, motivations, characters, it was all perfect and felt natural.
  • 26:25 Someone finally said it.. T'Challa was the guy to lead. He was so insanely calm. And he was unique like Cap and Stark. Stark had his tech, Cap was soldier with an spirit that is unrivaled, And Black Panther was the ruler, who always made the right choice.

You hit it right on the head with “the MCU feels more like homework than an event”. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard of a new show coming out and I sigh and shake my head and I go “but I haven’t even started that other show yet” and I don’t even feel motivated to watch them, I just don’t want to “miss out” in case it ties in somewhere else to the MCU.

I totally agree with the Wanda vision assessment. It was such a cool concept and style and then for the finale they just went full cgi superhero battle which didn't match up at all with the original vibes.

When Shehulk was making that controlling her anger speech, didn't she pretty much lose her anger immediately while preaching? I honestly think this scene would have been good if Bruce subtly hints that to her and she realizes and corrects her mistake after having the realization.
