As someone who has actually been through survival courses and has had to pet rabbits (to calm them down) before legitimately clubbing them to death, I 100% understand where Garnt's distaste is coming from on the whole Abalone cooked alive situation. It's about the suffering, it's legit burning to death and trying to escape in front of you. Who the hell wants to see a creature's last death struggle while they're trying to have dinner?

More than a year has passed and this episode feels so iconic now. The wine meme, Connor's shirt, the original set, the food rant, etc. I wanna see how the show keeps evolving.

They get more pissed over food disagreements than anime. During the hamburgers rant I was expecting Connor to body slam Garnt.

Connor was right about phones being able to turn themselves on for an alarm. I had accidentally set an alarm for 8pm instead of 8am. I was seeing Grease at the theatre and even though I turned my phone off, it turned itself on because of the alarm. But thankfully I was able to turn it off before it got too loud and no one noticed.

What I learned in this episode: 1) Joey gets triggered over okonomiyaki. 2) Garnt doesn't like sauces. 3) Connor gets triggered over hamburgers. 4) They all love tsukemen.

It's the end of my summer vacation and I wish I would've given this podcast a change earlier. I fear that I don't have as much time to listen to you guys when I return to work but you have made my summer. I came for anime talk but stayed for your overall enjoying content.
