These are the words of someone who would do anything in the world just for the other person to love them, even if it meant being abused and taken advantaged of. She is showing her intentions right from the beginning, she never meant any harm. That she had to get this close in ruining herself, for the sake of loving someone else. It's hurting her, killing her in fact. This is from the fact of her drinking the black liquid. And it makes her cry a stream of black. But she cannot make it stop. Nor could she scream and cry out on her pain. She must hide it to herself, "I could lie say, I like it like that." In an act to save the other person from their own faults and wrongdoings. Perhaps she even believed that she was helping them. She has to pretend that it was because of her the relationship ended. And thinks that she is a terrible human being and deserves every suffering she experienced. When this came out I was homeless, on drugs, and then jail. I now have a house, job, and husband. This song and “Clover Cage - The Chess Piece” are the two songs that helped get rid of my depression. I just want to send love to everyone and I want everyone to know things will get better. We are in this together..I love you 💝
