SpaceX will launch the X-37B space plane to a currently unknown orbit for the United States Space Force (USSF). This flight will mark the seventh overall launch and fourth for this vehicle (Vehicle 2), and will be launched atop SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy. Watching a double booster landing at night, on land, will NEVER get old! 🙏
  • @rogerf7265
I had completely forgotten about the launch until my house started shaking. I did get to see the booster for a bit and then got to see the boosters do their burns on their way back

Absolutely incrredible how complex Falcon Heavy is, neverr ceases to amaze how many events have to go off without a hitch. Brilliant work SpaceX! And that photo is bonkers!!!

this was an amazing launch to see from Central FL. The almost-full moon lit up the exhaust after booster separation like I've never seen before. A+

They've flown 106 Falcons this year: 91 Falcon 9s, 5 Falcon Heavies (10 Falcon 9 boosters, and 5 Falcon 9s as Center Cores). Each Falcon 9 variant should count--solo, booster, and core.

Saturn V is so inspiring. Dang Tim - You're going to ride a rocket to space. Un flipping believable!
  • @SFS-V
Happy new year Tim, the launch coverage was awesome!

At 25:38 "Even with the dual booster return to launch site landing, which is like the most basic". Oh we live in such amazing times to be able to utter such things and classify them as "the most basic". We should not take this wonderful era for granted. Taking it all in.

Just got up at the other side of the globe and watched the recording 👍

I'd like to see a recovery of the core stage after it hits the ocean to see how the center core holds up.
  • @chrisg1267
Got to see it zipping across the sky all the way from Fredericksburg VA last night. It was AWESOME!!!
  • Wish I could get to Austin for your live gig, sounds cool! Have a spectacular 2024 spacehead brother!

Jessie is the best at SpaceX for commentating these launches.
  • Good luck 🍀 Tim with the Astro award presentation and the fan get together. Congratulations 🎉

I'm so bummed I missed it. Was down there for a week for the first few launch attempts. 😢 But glad it's finally off
  • @kstaxman2
Watching after the launch but still want to see it.. thanks for covering it.
  • Imagine how people in the future are going to look back at this level of excitement for something that will become mundane in the future.

It's fun to watch these again just for the intro music/video.
