If there's one thing I've learned from all these videos it's that there are a lot of great benches to take naps on in NYC 😄

Let's get Tom over 100,000 subscribers so he can afford concert tickets.

Growing up nearby (in the 70s and 80s), when we’d drive by the Forest Park Clubhouse, we called it “Farrah’s House”, because, to us, it was a mansion, and only a Hollywood celebrity like Farrah Fawcett could afford to live there. Sensational work as always, Tom!

I saw Hendrix and the Rascals in Central Park in 1967. Two awesome concerts in one. Love your videos - thanks. Also, the Stones at Forest Hills in '64.

It's a cool neighborhood. Helen Keller lived in Forest Hills from 1917-1938. The Beatles also had a concert in Forest Hills Stadium and Spider-Man is from Forest Hills (at least in the comics). Also, the Ramones were from Forest Hills.

I did a walk through Forest Park Gardens to Kew Gardens on my last visit to NYC, coming from the Continental Ave subway stop. I also walked through Forest Park along the horse riding trail and the Interboro/Jackie Robinson Pkwy. I grew up near where the park borders Myrtle Ave in Glendale. We used to call the golf course clubhouse “The Three Bears’ House”. Thanks, Tom, for keeping the memories fresh for those of us who are on the other side of the continent and cant get there regularly…

Back in the 70s and early 80s in the gardens was a beefsteak Charlie's!

In the 1970s my first apartment was on Metropolitan Avenue and Forest Park. It was a lovely neighborhood; very quiet with great little restaurants and diners. Then I moved to a huge studio with an eat-in kitchen in Forest Hills and Continental Avenue. I have fond memories of that area in Queens.

I was at one of those Monkees concerts where Hendrix was the opening act… July 15, 1967. I didn’t care for him - I was totally there to see the Monkees. But it’s always made a great story to tell that I saw him. Forest Hills is a great neighborhood. I’ve lived nearby most of my life. I always loved to shop in Forest Hills and I enjoyed seeing how the other half lived in Forest Hills Gardens. Thanks for covering the neighborhood in your video.

It's a cute place. I like the "row house" better than the new apartments. It's sad to see them being replaced. Your new camera guy has personality too:-)

Forest Hills is beautiful. Even though I'm from Manhattan I briefly lived in Forest Hills because it was so awesome and a great escape from Manhattan for awhile.

You should walk over to Forest Hills South, where I live. 7 buildings between 78th ave and 76th rd. to 113th street. Gorgeous internal garden. North side of the boulevard. The architect was Philip Birnbaum who did many pre and post war buildings around the city. These are prewars completed I 1939...40.
