I love California highways, best roads in the country seconded only to Texas. I also like how U.S. 101 has both intersections and exits but no traffic lights. I drove from San Francisco to Los Angeles via U.S. 101 South. September of 2017, one of the best drives in my life. Love that highway.

Wow this is great disco 🪩 song along with video of LA to San Francisco. I drove from LA to San Fran via 101 in 2007. It’s breath taking views , Mountain and ocean view and stop by vineyards and took a few sample drinks 🍺

I have driven between SF and LA numerous times. The difference between 101 and 5 is striking. 5 is faster, but suffers from unending truck traffic causing the cars to clog the left lane. It also has no scenery at all, just hundreds of miles of nothing. 101 is slower but with almost no truck traffic and little traffic between Santa Barbara and Salinas. Great scenery and for visitors, numerous missions to tour and experience history.

I live on the Central Coast and commute and work at SFO and used to work and commute to LAX. I've driven the 101 hundreds of times both ways, and other then the city traffic, I still love this awesome ride.
