One thing I’m absolutely sure of is that it’s Joan Jett and not Jo Ann Jett. I lived back then.

When my grandfather died, we went through some of his stuff. I went through his closet and found some usable shirts that still had the tags on them. They were probably 50 years old, but never worn. So I kept them. They are fruit of the loom brand, and they DO have a cornicopia. I just looked to make sure I was right. I think this is a case of reverse Mandela effect.

So, I specifically remember when I learned the word "cornucopia". I was young, maybe 6, and I asked my mother what the thing was on my underwear tag, and she said that it was a cornucopia. Every time I hear or read the word, I have a very vivid memory of that day.

Also “hello Clarice” 100% is a line in that movie.

I remember the movie Shazam starring Sinbad. I cant believe it never happened!

The only one I can't believe is the scene with braces girl in the James Bond movie Goldfinger(?). Jaws, the giant villain with metal teeth meets the girl and she smiles at him and because they both have metal in their mouths they immediately fall in love and walk away together. Now she doesn't have braces??? That scene doesn't even make sense without her braces! Btw, I'm looking at a scene from a Friday the 13th movie right now with Jason weilding a massive chainsaw.

When it comes to "The Blair Witch Project," the reason people remember Heather saying "I am so scared" during her confession scene is because she DOES say it in one of the first trailers for the film. In one of the teaser trailers released by Artisan back in 1999, Heather says "I am so scared" while giving her confession. It's most likely an edited line, though, used just for the trailer, as opposed to a line she actually said and was then cut from the final film. So she DID say it, and there is a reason why people remember it. It's just not in the movie itself.

If the monopoly guy didn't have a monocle why did Ace Ventura Pet Detective have the scene where Ace confronted the little man at the party who wore a monocle and said to him, "And you must be the monopoly guy." ?

I can honestly say that Oscar Mayer has ALWAYS been Oscar Mayer. I was 6 years old in 1982 and my grandmother taught me the jingle. Which had been around long before me. "My bologna has a first name, it's O-S-C-A-R My bologna has a second name, it's M-A-Y-E-R. I love to eat it every day and of you ask me why, I'll say Oscar Mayer has a way With B-O-L-O-G-N-A." This jingle also taught me how to spell bologna. As for the rest of these, I am not sure.

I thought Silence of the Lambs she comes out of the shadow, he says, "Hello Clarice" she asks, "How do you know my name???" And he indicates her FBI badge, and then asks her to put it in the shaft on her side so he could open it and inspect it.... It's wild if my brain made all of that up lol

I’m a child of the 80’s. I dressed as the monopoly guy for Halloween one year. My dad made a monocle out of a old pair of his glasses for me to wear.

Also there use to be a commercial that had the fruits (guys dressed up like fruits) in fruit of the loom brand before the inspector commercials

I thought Jack Nicholson said "Heeerres Johnny" through the hole on the door? Must have been hiding at the time lol.
  • @chrismoore7287
I gotta draw the line on the monopoly guy. He indeed DID have a monocle. 😁
  • The movie, Casblanca. "Play it again, Sam." He ACTUALLY said, "Play it, Sam; you played it for her, now play it for me."

I DO remember Mandela, dying in prison then later in the '90s all of a sudden he was alive.
  • @ng.6180
I remember the monopoly guy with a monocle 🧐. Even before I knew about the mandela effect, I remember one day taking it out to play and strangely noticed the monocle gone. I thought to myself, it just doesn't look right, but since it was a newer version, I thought maybe they'd changed / updated the character.

Ok the Lindbergh baby and the killer was FOUND?? This is the first one that’s really screwing with me bc I know for sure that baby was never found and was an unsolved mystery. I remember watching documentaries about it!
