This is what I look for in black metal. In my 40s now listening to bm since the late 90s I just can't do the low production 1st wave screeching about Satan anymore. In my opinion black metal has only gotten better with time and and this is top notch

First song has a great Dissection inspired riff, almost a bit medieval sounding, especially while fading into an acoustic guitar... Great start to a (predictability) great album..😎🤘
