  • Let's be honest, whoever got the seats on the left may be the luckiest people (aisle + window)

I remember stumbling across the flight from Gothenburg to Cambridge. Thanks for explaining this!

Sun-Air are just the nicest people you can imagine. They see and treat each other like family, and the passengers like most welcome guests.

I've flown this from Aalborg, Denmark to Oslo, Norway. And it was so cheap, flight time was only 1 hour, but they served a full meal including ice-cream for dessert and then we landed 🤷🏽‍♀️ I miss them flying this route.
  • As a flight attendant back in the 80s-90s, I worked on a 30 passenger turboprop made by Embrarer called the Brasilia. God I loved working that plane as I was the only flight attendant. The pilots and I would do four days of turn arounds from Orlando to Key West to Nassau and we had fun. Now that was real flying! Good memories.

That plane climbs like a bat outta hell.

I've done that flight! Basically an entirely business class flight. I did an evening flight and was in the single seat. The view over the North Sea at night is amazing.

I did took that plane as an Airbus engineer. We have a daily shuttle from Airbus Helicopters in Marseille to Airbus helicopters in Donauworth germany. It is operated by sun air with British Airways livery

Dornier, eh? Reminds me of Beatle John Lennon who was reputed to have said in the early 1960s, while performing in Hamburg, "It's good to fly Lufthansa to London, their pilots know the way."

I regularly take it from Billund to London City. Absolute best flight experience out of Denmark. Always plenty of space in the cabin, and you are more or less served food ore drinks during the entire flight 😅

As a Cambridgeshire man. I must say These used to be quite often into Cambridge city airport. But they are mot so common nowadays unfortunately. Also i bet you didn't know that the Boeing 747 can actually land at the airport.

I am Belgian and used to work for Swisscom in Bern. Sun-Air had a daily flight Billund-Brussels-Bern, and I used it every week on the Brussels-Bern leg. The breakfast was fantastic (and they always tried to serve me akvavit with it, which I refused). Bern has a very challenging approach, and only smaller planes can land there.

They also have the A380 in their roster of huge jets. You forgot to mention them 😅

Dornier you say?? 1944 German noises starts playing in the background
  • @bjorn2625
I've flown this a few times. The in-flight service is superb and they're comfortable planes which, despite their air, come across as stable and relatively quiet.
  • @glennoropeza3545
Absolutely! We need a plane like that to service Key West Florida
  • Alaska/Horizon used to operate DO-328 turboprops. I loved those little aircraft a lot more than the DH-8 turboprops.
