|| THIS EPISODE || We reach Utah for the first time ever after meeting up with our friends @4000rivets in their hometown for coffee and donuts. We head to Park City to meet up with friends that we hadn’t seen in 7 years! Marcus and Sarah were our neighbors in Maine. We started our adult lives of marriage, homeownership and having babies together.

We are introduced to the incredible outdoor-centered atmosphere of Park City immediately as we went with our friends to a free event put on by Park City Parks and Rec. There was a BBQ, mountain bike course, playground and family movie night on the soccer fields. It was amazing!

We spent the next few days hiking, checking out the local Parks and Rec pool with water slides and obstacle courses, driving through the mountains and visiting ski resorts in the off-season. We hiked around Silver Lake at Brighton Ski Mountiain on a beautiful, handicap accessible ramp around the lake.

We also got to check out the Utah Olympic Park where the 2002 Winter Olympics were held. It is still a training facility for Olympians and is open to the public, so you can actually practice your ski jump next to champions! The museum is amazing and is not just about the Olympics, but also the history and progression of skiing and snowboarding!

We loved the opportunity to visit Salt Lake City, Utah, and enjoyed some incredible food at Mellow Mushroom. It is a great drive if you are staying in Park City!

We said goodbye to our friends and headed to Piute State Park for a night and then to Red Canyon Campground to prepare to explore Bryce Canyon National Park!

Stay tuned for the next episode where we find all kinds of adventure in Bryce! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!

  • Oh! I’m from SLC , homesick for the beautiful valley and mountains. I don’t think there is any better city to raise a family. Moved away at 6 BUT spent EVERY summer there at my grandparents! I was so close to them. They lived under Mount Olympus. Thanks guys! Loved this stop.
