the military diet claims you can lose up to 10lbs in a week... i came across this diet a few years ago but never actually tried it and i was intrigued. here are the results.

disclaimer: i am not a nutritionist, nor a dietician. everything in this video is just from my own personal experience. i do not endorse this diet and i highly recommend anyone wanting to try it for themselves to do the necessary research before starting it.

  • This diet is the reason i’m no longer fat. I modify it to make it easier. I use 1 tbsp of peanut butter instead of two (really can’t tell the difference), and use the 100 calories i’ve saved to eat the whole grapefruit (more fiber = more filling) and use 2 tbsp half and half in my coffee because I can’t stand black coffee. You can use any seasoning as long as it’s zero calories, so mustard, hot sauce, spices etc. Instead of tuna I do salmon. Instead of eating the ice cream I do protein yogurt, more filling + less sugar.
  • I've done this eating plan in the past and lost 6 pounds in three days! It definitely works but I do remember being very hungry, lol.

    I did this diet about 20 years ago and lost 65 pounds in 4 months. I was hungry the first 2 weeks but then I got into the routine and was fine. It gave me a different outlook on food. It basically taught me to eat to live not live to eat. If that makes sense. lol Great video!

    It's actually a great way to get rid off bad eating habits. I was binging and inhaling my food. I would eat an entire digestive biscuit on one go. I would eat 4 egg custards at once and chew them like 3 times. This behaviour stopped after the military diet.
  • It’s like a diet on a budget. For those who want results but can’t afford to spend money on healthy foods, this is a good diet plan. I will definitely try this 🙂

    you actually can use a little salt and pepper ! you can use any 0 calorie seasoning/ low calories seasonings (along with a bit of lemon juice if wanted) ! Cooked tunafish with a little bit of salt and pepper on toast is actually pretty good !
  • From personal experience, restricting diets definitely work but you have to be consistent (i had eating disordered behaviours though so i shouldnt be giving advice)

    If you use this to kick start a longer term healthy weight loss, tracking your calories once eating normally - you can absolutely keep the weight off. If you go back to eating crap of course you'll gain it all back, it's the same With any diet plan no matter how short term it is.

    There's a bunch of substitutions that are allowed. For example, you could have subbed that 1/2 banana for some of the grapes you were wanting..as long as it's the same amount of calories.

  • This diet actually works for me,yes you may not lose 10 pounds but its better to lose 2 or more than none at all. I've tried it a month back an lose 6 pounds, and I'm on it again starting from morning and I know it would happen for me.yes it's not the best meal plan ,it comes with alot of headache but it's worth the try.

    I generally lose 4 to 7 ibs without exercise. I only resort to this for upcoming weddings or vacations.

    I had a restrictive diet with just crackers and vegetables for dinner So I had like 2 or 3 crackers for breakfast and lunch - with small porions of cherry tomatoes and/or cucumbers (or a cup of corn if I did not feel like eating crackers) You can put anything on there (eggs, cream cheese, whatever) Sometimes for lunch I had plain crackers with soup as a substitute for bread Then for dinner I usually just had steamed broccoli, carrots, (peas) and brown rice Or a salad Or soup with crackers again I lost like 7 kg in a little over a week, mind you though, that this was the first diet I ever followed and I had a lot of weight to start out with
  • american cup measurements are actually 240ml which isn’t too different from other countries. from what i’m seeing, other countries usually measure it as 250 ml
  • U can use spices on your meat just make sure it’s low sodium also I have tried the military diet before and I lost 8 lbs but it’s definitely not a diet I would stick to

    One important thing is that toasted bred can not be white. Also it peanut butter is better sugar free. Basically everything you eat can not contain with sugar.
