You know this man is an engineer when he spends 15 min at the Physical layer

PS Thanks so much! It's actually pretty difficult to find a comprehensive video done within 30 min
  • thank god, youre way better than my teacher he just sits at the top of the class in silence and assigns reading assignments and makes you feel stupid for asking him a question, you explain IN PLAIN ENGLISH WITH VISUAL EXAMPLES youre a good man for this work, paving the way for us newbies

I don't know to what we owe the existence of this video, but no teacher could explain it so clearly.
  • learning this in 2024 and the information passed is still very valid across both physical and cloud servers. you are the goat for real 💯
  • I like to use the Accronym "Please do not teach students pointless Accronyms"

I spent nearly 20 years listening to Kevin Wallace from Somalia, and I learned so much from this engineer and teacher. Thank you, sir!

Honestly, this man can explain the OSI model better in 30 mins than my professor can in 3 hours.
  • Thanks man. Having worked in the industry for a few years now my functional knowledge is good.. but the smaller details have faded over time. Have an interview with JP Morgan tomorrow, prepping like crazy tonight and this was very thorough
  • First time I watch like this type of teacher in technical field
  • @rm3450
Thanks for the video! I am studying for comptia network+ certification and this really goes into more detail. Also I was in a job interview with a company and they asked me what the OSI model was and how it related to IT work so people still reference this all the time.
  • Such an excellent video, I have an upcoming test and I didn't quite get the subject content given by the professor. Thanks a lot! This helped me so much

I had some basic knowledge of the OSI or TCP/IP model, although there were obvious gaps in that knowledge that was filled with thanks to this video! I love how short it is but covers so much, especially a 15 minute introduction to the physical layer 😂I thought the physical layer would receive the least amount of attention. Thank you!

It amazes me that your view count isn’t higher. This is by far the best OSI model presentation I’ve seen. Thank you so much!!

I have an exam in few days and you saved me lots of time.Thanks.
  • @WheatOcean
This is the first time I feel like I really understood what happens at the Session and Presentation layers.
  • @susieogle9108
I have watched many OSI model explanations, but this was one of the easiest to understand. The explanation of thr Application layer stands out as something I am able to relate to better. That is just one example of many.

I got the TCP/IP guide by Charles Kozierok whitch I'm actually using as a reference guide for what to watch on YouTube. The book is from 2005 but it's an amazing tool to learn networking with youtube videos like these. Next my goal is to learn nmap and then wireshark. Thanks for this video I will definitely rewatch.
