Could this also explain why people have NDEs? Is it just the pineal gland going out of control because the brain is dying and the pineal gland is no longer under its control? So that all these "spiritual" experiences people think they are having with going through a tunnel and seeing a bright light and dead family members and feeling so happy and joyful and full of love that they don't want to come back, etc. is all just the pineal gland simply going off the charts? Is that what death is all about? So there is no afterlife, no reincarnation, nothing but your pineal gland playing games with your mind because the brain is dying? Could this be the answer to the question, what happens when we die? Ultimately, nothing? It's just your body making the process of death palatable so you don't freak out about the prospect of nothingness? 🤔 I hope I'm wrong but I have a funny feeling maybe I've stumbled onto something...
