I think it's a nice addition to the game, but I can do with or without it. The draw for me are the coasters, flat rides and scenery. The water park addition, at best, will keep me busy and keep it fresh when I'm burnt out. I just hope that adding it doesn't take away from the important additions we need for the coasters and flat rides which include the variety, versatility and completeness we witnessed in Planet Zoo with its animals. Planco had many gaps that shouldn't have been.
  • We have to remember that this is a base game pretty much Dlc's will bring probably most of the additional water park things
  • I'm looking forward to water parks, have been since PC but I'm also a little worried they will be the main focus and we will be missing some of the basic core rides, etc we had in the original. I'm hopeful that it will be well balanced but I don't want to be forced down the water park road for every park. Either way it's still a day one purchase for me.

You should do a video covering all the different types of waterslides that could be coming in the game or as DLC! Such as the Funnel, Rotating Waterslide, Stand Up Waterslide, etc

Waterparks was my favorite on RCT3, I'm super pumped it's coming to Planet Coaster 2. I wish Parkitect would do it too, it'd be so cute in there!
  • would be cool if they would have splash pads for the kids to play in that would be a great addition to the waterparks
  • I'm very curious to see how water looks in this game. I know we've seen it in screenshots and in some animated shots in the trailer, but I want to see how it looks when people splash each other, how the wave pools look, how different slides look etc. Can people swim underwater? Can people actually dive off diving boards? I'm super excited for this gameplay reveal and I hope we get a beta just like with Planet Zoo. Also I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a surfing ride! I loved watching people wipe out on that as a kid lol Edit: Also to answer the videos question will waterparks be a big part of my gameplay, at least for me it definitely will be. Im not a huge roller coaster person, but I love water parks! So thats where almost all my excitement lies right now
  • I will definitely make an waterpark only save, if thats doable i hope so. I love waterparks personally much more then normal theme Parks. And im most excited about making an indoor waterpark, and it have to be possible right? Because you can build almost everything in the planet games..
  • While I am looking forward to the water parks, I hope this isn't a water park game first, theme park game second. I hope the focus from the developers is still mainly on the theme park side with water parks being a nice bonus
  • I cant wait to build all kinds of different water parks. Indoors, cave ones and so on. Its going to be so good!
  • Well I'm excited!!! I am also very sure your work is going to be gorgeous!!! I love how you design your parks so I am looking forward to any work you do!!!! :D
  • @symye123
I love the supposed hotel tease that was in the trailer so i'll be adding the water slides/pool/lazy river to make a resort style theme park. I hope the older themed dlc's make a return too because those offer so much variety for themes
  • I'm so much more excited about creating a waterpark than a theme park right now. My first two parks are both going to be solely waterparks: An outdoor one, and an indoor one like most UK waterparks.

I don't want to be a party pooper but it's difficult for me to fully enjoy the idea of waterparks while im worried about the themes. Like (nearly) every park has a pirates area or a pirates ride, yet it looks like they took out the pirates theme. It's especially annoying as this theme would also greatly fit with the water rides. Either way, I have high hopes this will eventually be solved. And needless to say I'm greatly looking forward to finally build pools again :D EDIT : besides ladders im pretty sure I also noticed a diving board right? Where people can jump into the water. It's not in the same "category" as a beach or something but at least its another way to enter the water.
  • I grew up around the Disney/universal parks and only went to a few smaller parks when I lived in China. So my motivation is always built around that Disney and universal theming/vibe so I immediately thought of a normal park(s) with a water park on the side as a separate park the way Disney does it. Already pictured a Jurassic coaster zooming over the next door lazy river 😂
  • Youre not the only one who's excited about this i am too wnd i will be utilizing the water parks and adding them to my parks
  • We spent so much time on making items I'm hoping that time is now saved for being creative in other ways. I loaded the game for the first time in over 6 months last week. I was surprised what I actually have made across the time playing. The hours I've spent on my builds in game and the videos posted to the channel are insane and I was impressed with my own creativity. I'm really looking forward to the game and seeing the hours I throw into it as I didn't get into Zoo.
  • On top of only ladders, the lazy river looks about 8 feet deep. In reality they're about 2.5-3 feet deep max.
  • I'm very excited and hope that the rides and roller coasters aren't neglected because of the slides. With all the DLCs we've had a huge selection of rides, transport options like trains and cable cars and boat rides. And lots of scenery and items! I don't want to start again with just 5 ash buckets and benches, 20 trees and 10 rocks. And how many rides will there be? Only 15-20 or 30-40, which is what I would expect. I would like to have the rides and roller coasters that I loved from part 1 back, and please a lot more children's rides. And I hope to see a western and pirate theme with old and new parts soon. They belong in every park! And please a much better collision detection so that we don't have to work with so many barriers again and proper railway crossings. The scaling tool is great, finally no more hours of putting up individual fences or hedges. I'm really excited for more information!! The only thing I miss is a real co-op mode for simultaneous building, that would have been a real game changer (along with the slides) and would have encouraged many more to buy it!
  • I'm excited about the new themes and a path builder that doesn't suck. A water park is just wasted land where someone could build an amusement park. +been my motto in life since 1993.+ I want to get it embroidered on a decorative throw pillow. I did the rct3 scenarios which were water parks just to do them, since I paid for them.
